Beauty Recipes - COCOA BUTTER HAND CREAM
2 cups warm water
1-1/2 cup glycerin
1/2 oz. spirits of ammonia
1/2 oz. cocoa butter
1/2 tsp. boric acid
1 cup stearic acid
Combine in a glass or enamel pan the cocoa butter, glycerin
and stearic acid. Melt over low heat. Remove to mixing bowl
and add ammonia. Stir until milky. Add boric acid to warm
water. Add to first mixture. Mix with beater for 10 minutes
at high speed. Perfume and color as desired. Age for 2 weeks
before using. Makes 1-1/2 quarts.
